皂粒是经皂化、干燥并挤出成型的半成品皂，以小颗粒形式供应，可直接进行研磨、加香、调色和压模，制成成品皂块。采购皂粒可使皂块生产企业完全省去皂化和干燥工序，而这正是制皂过程中投资大、废水多的环节，工厂只需作为后加工车间运营。
决定皂粒性能的有两项指标。第一是总脂肪物含量，即皂粒中真正为皂的比例：78% 是常见的洗衣皂等级，80% 及以上用于香皂；总脂肪物越高，皂块越硬、越耐用，使用中消耗越慢。第二是油脂配比，以棕榈油与棕榈仁油的比例表示，通常为 80:20 或 90:10。该比例实质上是碳链长度之间的取舍。棕榈油提供 C16 和 C18 长链，使皂块坚硬、耐磨，但起泡较慢；棕榈仁油提供 C12 月桂链，起泡迅速且丰富，但会使皂块变软、消耗更快。提高棕榈仁油比例是以皂块使用寿命换取泡沫。
供应于香皂和美容皂、洗衣皂、药皂和透明皂、酒店及客用皂，以及委托加工制皂。
