蓖麻油
蓖麻油是整个油脂化学分支的原料，因为蓖麻油酸带有普通脂肪酸所没有的羟基。该基团是通往癸二酸、十一碳烯酸、多元醇和 12-羟基硬脂酸的入口。
氢化蓖麻油（蓖麻蜡）
氢化蓖麻油以片状或微粉化粉末形式供应，是 12-羟基硬脂酸的直接前体，而 12-羟基硬脂酸是大多数锂基润滑脂的稠化剂。将蜡裂解后即可释放出赋予润滑脂结构的羟基酸。
PFAD（棕榈油脂肪酸馏出物）
PFAD 是棕榈油精炼过程中从脱臭塔回收的冷凝物。其游离脂肪酸含量通常为 85% 至 95%，是用于肥皂、脂肪酸回收、动物饲料和生物柴油酯化的低成本混合原料。
棕榈油甲酯
棕榈油甲酯由棕榈油或棕榈脂肪酸与甲醇经酯交换制得。本品供工业用途，用作生物基溶剂、润滑剂基础油和磺化原料，而非零售车用燃料。
