    Soap Noodles

Soap Noodles – Soap Noodles product from Bio Green Oleo

    About This Product

Soap noodles are saponified, dried and extruded soap supplied as small pellets, ready to be milled, perfumed, coloured and stamped into finished bars. Buying noodles lets a bar manufacturer skip saponification and drying entirely, which are the capital-intensive and effluent-generating parts of soap making, and run instead as a finishing operation.

Two specifications determine what a noodle will do. The first is total fatty matter, the proportion of the noodle that is actual soap: 78 percent is a common laundry grade, while 80 percent and above is used for toilet soap, and higher TFM gives a harder, longer-lasting bar that wears more slowly in use. The second is the oil blend, quoted as a ratio of palm to palm kernel oil, typically 80:20 or 90:10. That ratio is a direct trade-off between chain lengths. Palm oil contributes long C16 and C18 chains that make the bar hard and slow-wearing but slow to lather; palm kernel oil contributes lauric C12 chains that lather instantly and copiously but soften the bar and wash away faster. Raising the kernel fraction buys foam at the cost of bar life.

They are supplied for toilet and beauty bars, laundry bars, medicated and transparent soaps, hotel and amenity soaps, and contract soap finishing.

Bio Green Oleo supplies vegetable soap noodles to specification on total fatty matter, oil blend ratio, moisture, free caustic alkali, sodium chloride and colour.
