Dioctyl Sebacate (DOS)
A diester of sebacic acid (CAS 122-62-3), the ten-carbon diacid obtained from castor oil. A castor-derived ester used as a synthetic lubricant base stock as well as a low-temperature plasticiser.

Epoxidised Soybean Oil (ESBO)
An epoxidised vegetable triglyceride (CAS 8013-07-8) bought on oxirane oxygen content. One of the highest-volume bio-based functional chemicals, and a route into polyols without petrochemical feedstock.

Calcium Stearate
Calcium stearate is the calcium salt of stearic acid, a water-insoluble metallic soap made from palm-derived fatty acid. It is supplied as white powder at 125, 200 or 325 mesh, and as beads and granules.

Zinc Stearate
Zinc stearate is the zinc salt of stearic acid, a water-insoluble and hydrophobic metallic soap made from palm-derived fatty acid. It is supplied at 10.5-11.1% zinc as powder, beads, flakes or granules.

Starch-Filled Polyolefin Foaming Resin
A powder compound carrying 30-70% renewable starch in a polypropylene or polyethylene matrix, displacing fossil polymer in foamed sheet. It is NOT biodegradable or compostable and must not be marketed as such.

Starch and PBAT Loose Fill Compound
A fully biodegradable powder compound of starch with PBAT, for foaming into loose fill packaging. It is supplied in a water-soluble grade and a moisture-resistant grade, covering dry and damp transit.

Starch Ternary Blend Film Compound
A pellet compound blending PLA, PBAT and starch for biodegradable film, where the starch fraction raises renewable content and lowers cost per kilogram. The whole system is biodegradable, not only the starch.

Agricultural Residue Reinforced Biocomposite
A biodegradable PLA/PBAT pellet compound reinforced with pineapple leaf fibre, an agricultural residue. The fibre raises stiffness and strength above the unfilled polymer, so renewable content and mechanical performance rise together.

Biodegradable Hot Melt Adhesive Compound
A pellet compound of PBAT and PLA for producing biodegradable hot melt adhesive. It replaces the conventional hot melt that would otherwise disqualify an otherwise compostable pack at the certification stage.

Biodegradable Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Compound
A PBAT-based pellet compound for producing biodegradable pressure sensitive adhesive, for labels and tape on compostable packaging. It puts the adhesive on the same end-of-life route as the pack it is stuck to.

Cardanol (Bio‑Based Phenol)
Cardanol (CAS 37330-39-5) is a renewable phenol distilled from cashew nut shell liquid. It carries a fifteen-carbon unsaturated side chain on the benzene ring, which gives phenolic resins built from it a natural internal flexibility.

Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL)
Cashew nut shell liquid (CAS 8007-24-7) is the dark resin held in the shell of the cashew nut, Anacardium occidentale. A by-product of nut processing, it is the world's main renewable source of alkyl phenols for resins and friction materials.

Decarboxylated Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (DCNSL)
Decarboxylated cashew nut shell liquid is CNSL that has been heat-treated so its anacardic acid loses carbon dioxide and converts to cardanol. The result is a cardanol-rich renewable phenol with lower acidity and better thermal stability.

Palm Methyl Ester
Palm methyl ester is produced by transesterifying palm oil or palm fatty acids with methanol. It is supplied for industrial use as a bio-based solvent, lubricant base and sulphonation feedstock, rather than as retail automotive fuel.

Confirm the evidence before ordering
Grade, origin and certification are confirmed for each proposed source. A vegetable-derived feedstock is not automatically certified sustainable, pharmaceutical grade or suitable for every application; request the evidence needed for your intended use.
