About This Product
In this grade the oil blend ratio is 90:10, and by trade convention the larger share is palm oil and the smaller a lauric oil such as palm kernel. Its data sheet puts fatty matter and glycerine combined at 72% min, glycerine on its own at 6–9%, moisture at 22% max and free alkali at 0.1% max as NaOH. Chloride as NaCl is 0.4–0.8%. Unlike the open-ended limit on many noodle grades, the titre is given as a closed band of 44–46 °C. The noodles are yellowish and contain a chelating agent.
Bases with less lauric oil lather more slowly but tend to make a firmer bar, which is why 90:10 noodles are widely used for laundry bars, multipurpose household soap and economy toilet bars. The finisher adds colour, perfume or fillers and then mills, plods and stamps the soap.
Confirm which oils make up the 90:10 blend, and the packing arrangement, which the data sheet does not state. Check how a moisture content of up to 22% behaves in the buyer's drying and stamping steps, obtain the newest revision of the data sheet, an SDS and lot-by-lot analysis results, and test the base in the planned formulation before placing volume orders.
