这种皂粒以 80% 棕榈油和 20% 棕榈仁油为基础，其标称指标将总脂肪物与甘油合并计算：不低于 78%。甘油占皂粒的 6–9%，因此单纯的皂含量低于该合计值。水分不得超过 16%，游离碱以 NaOH 计不超过 0.1%，氯化物以 NaCl 计在 0.4% 至 0.8% 之间，凝固点不高于 46 °C。皂粒呈淡黄色，含有螯合剂。
此脂肪物含量水平的基料通常加工成香皂和浴皂：先混入香精、色素及其他添加剂，再进行研磨、压条和打印成型。由于甘油保留在皂粒中，它会被带入成品皂块，这正是部分制皂商在制作浴皂和客房皂时所看重的。
