About This Product
Raising the C18 share to 65.0–69.0% gives stearic acid 1865 a melting range of 58.0–63.0 °C and a firmer body than the palmitic-rich triple-pressed grades. Its specification sets white beads or flakes at 60 Hazen maximum and keeps iodine value at or below 0.50 g I₂/100 g. The acid value band is 200.0–218.0 mg KOH/g, with saponification value set at 201.0–219.0 mg KOH/g.
The higher melting behaviour suits stick and bar products and processes run at elevated temperatures. Soap making and personal care creams and lotions are established outlets, together with plastics and rubber processing and the manufacture of metallic stearates.
A second documented 1865 specification is set on titre and has a narrower acid value window, so keep to one complete option when ordering instead of mixing limits. Ahead of any delivery, confirm the analysis certificate that accompanies each lot, the SDS, packing in 25 kg bags or in jumbo bags, and how the grade performs in the intended formulation.

Confirm the evidence before ordering
Grade, origin and certification are confirmed for each proposed source. A vegetable-derived feedstock is not automatically certified sustainable, pharmaceutical grade or suitable for every application; request the evidence needed for your intended use.
